Medical Director

White Mountain Community Health Center is a small health center in a beautiful recreational area. We are seeking a physician to serve as our Medical Director to lead a small group of nurse practitioners in our warm and relaxed patient-centered practice.

This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven physician with experience in family practice. The Medical Director will spend at least 80% of his or her time on direct patient treatment. Administrative work in this role is minimal. Other duties include serving as a resource for nurse practitioners to consult on complicated cases, and helping to develop and implement protocols as we transition to becoming an FQHC Lookalike.

We are looking for someone who will feel comfortable as the only physician in a small practice, and be adept at working with patients of all ages from many different walks of life. A minimum of three years’ experience in a family practice setting is preferred. The position can be adjusted to suit the interests and strengths of the right candidate. This could be either a full-time or a part-time position.

Executive Director

White Mountain Community Health Center is seeking a full-time Executive Director. The successful candidate must have a strong interest in helping medically underserved populations and the skills to manage a multifaceted health center, located in a beautiful recreational area in northern New Hampshire.

The Executive Director ensures that the health center is fulfilling its mission of providing high-quality, comprehensive health care regardless of ability to pay. The Executive Director oversees day-to-day operations and is responsible for the administrative and fiscal direction of the health center, subject to approval of the Board of Directors. As the health center’s primary spokesperson, the Executive Director builds and maintains strong external community relationships with key stakeholders, funders, the business community and the media, and leads private fundraising efforts, targeting individuals, foundations and corporations. S/he attends all meetings of the Board of Directors and committees. Excellent communications skills with internal stakeholders including clients, parents, and health center staff are a must.

The Executive Director will be leading the health center at a time of change, as the health center is in the process of applying to become an FQHC Look-alike. A successful candidate will be confident in leading the health center as it grows and adapts to meet the new requirements, and in following a successful Look-alike designation with an application to become a full FQHC.

The position requires a minimum of five (5) years of administrative leadership experience in a medical and/or human service organization. Demonstrated supervisory experience, organizational skills, community relations skills and business systems expertise are required.. A college degree from an accredited university or four-year college is required, preferably in a health or human services program. Master’s degree preferred.
