Water damage update and fund

Dec 29, 2025

We are launching an Operations Support Fund following water damage caused by a plumbing failure late last week.

The plumbing failure caused unexpected water intrusion in the building, resulting in damage to several areas of the health center, including a number of exam rooms, the lab, and some staff work spaces. The damage has temporarily reduced the health center’s capacity.

Despite the disruption, we have remained open and are continuing to provide care by adapting workflows, converting some appointments to telehealth visits, and utilizing limited exam rooms creatively. However, the incident has created unanticipated expenses and operational challenges not fully covered by insurance.

“Our staff responded immediately and with tremendous professionalism to ensure patients continued to receive care,” said Audrey Goudie, Executive Director. “This fund will help us restore full operations as quickly as possible while protecting access to care during the recovery.”

Board Chair Caitlin Behr emphasized the broader community impact:

“This health center exists because the community depends on it. When something unexpected happens, we come together—not just to repair a building, but to ensure people can continue receiving the care they need. This fund is about continuity, stability, and shared responsibility.”

Funds raised through the Operations Support Fund will support remediation efforts, temporary operational adjustments, and costs associated with restoring full clinical capacity.

Community members are invited to contribute and help ensure continuity of care during the recovery period. Donations of all sizes will have a direct impact on patient access and services.
