Appointment No-Show Policy

At White Mountain Community Health Center, we are committed to providing timely and equitable access to care for all of our patients. Missed appointments prevent other patients from being seen and impact our ability to serve the community.

To help us better meet the needs of everyone we serve, we are implementing a No-Show Appointment Policy effective January 1, 2026.

What is a “No-Show”?

A no-show occurs when a patient does not attend a scheduled appointment and does not notify the office in advance. Same day cancellations are considered a “no-show.”

Our Policy

  • Patients who miss three (3) appointments within a 12-month period without proper notice will be placed on FLOAT status.
  • Patients on FLOAT status will not be scheduled for future appointments but may still present to the office when medical care is needed.
  • Same-day visits are offered on a limited basis and are subject to provider availability and discretion.

How to Avoid a No-Show

Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We understand that emergencies happen — our team is always willing to work with you when communication occurs.

Need Help?

If transportation, work schedules, childcare, or other barriers make it difficult to attend appointments, please let our staff know. We may be able to help connect you with resources or alternative options.

We appreciate your cooperation and partnership as we work together to ensure access to care for all patients.
