Our wiring is old and patched together, and that makes it slow and unreliable. This slows down appointments when electronic charts won’t load, bogs down administrative tasks like referrals and medication refills, and interferes with video telehealth appointments, forcing providers to waste precious time troubleshooting.
We’re embarking on a big project to modernize our communications systems so that our providers can focus instead on the most important thing: their patients. The first step is rewiring the Ethernet in our building. Half the cost has been generously funded through a Kendal C. and Anna Ham Foundation grant. For the remaining half, the NH Electric Co-op has offered us a challenge grant – once we raise $10,000, they’ll match it, fully funding the Ethernet rewiring project.
